Communities In Schools of Whatcom Skagit
CIS 2021 Impact Video
Social Media Clips
Goal
Communities in Schools of Whatcom / Skagit approached approached us again in 2021, and wanted to show the work they’d done in the 2020 – 2021 school year. They wanted to use this video to connect with current donors (to prevent donor fatugue) and to connect with new potential partners.
Strategy
We decided to show the impact of the work through the voices of the people on the ground — school staff, mentors, and students. To acheive this, we worked with the CIS staff in order to identify what the most impactful story would be. We determined we would focus on the most glaring aspect of the 2020 – 2021 school year — Covid 19.
In addition, we created social media clips they used to bring more light to the full length video. This helps them to make the most of their investment.
Results
Ario and the rest of the team were thrilled with the video, and they now have a video asset to show to their donors and key stakeholders.
CIS Brand Video
Goal
Communities in Schools of Whatcom / Skagit approached us because they knew their non profit was making a huge difference in the lives of children, as well as in our community — they just didn’t know how to talk about it.
Their overarching goal was to communicate what Communities in Schools does, and why people should care — from individuals to potential business partnerships.
Strategy
We realized early on, we needed to hear a variety of voices — from school teachers, who experience the work of Communities in Schools first hand, administrators who see the impact in graduation rates, to social workers who see the impact in the overall use of substances. We aimed to show the impact Communities in Schools has from every angle, to emphasize the enormous impact they have on the lives of our students.
Results
The video has helped Communities in Schools to secure two major sponsors — WECU and Peace Health, allowing them to continue to do more of their great work, and have a more profound impact.
Client Testimonial
Ario Salazar | Executive Director
“They definitely did capture, and move the needle beyond where we thought this project was going to go.
The product that Taylor and Flannel Media produced for us absolutely took it out of the park, because it was beautifully done, and you could tell the care and respect they poured into capturing the impact and importance of our existence as an agency.
“They are affordable, they are extremely easy to work with, they have great coaching, and they really care. They really want to get it right.
They have a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude, to make sure that your project looks the way that you intended it to look. And in our case, they took it way beyond what I had expected.”
