Goal
Communities in Schools of Whatcom / Skagit approached us because they knew their non profit was making a huge difference in the lives of children, as well as in our community — they just didn’t know how to talk about it.
Their overarching goal was to communicate what Communities in Schools does, and why people should care — from individuals to potential business partnerships.
Strategy
We realized early on, we needed to hear a variety of voices — from school teachers, who experience the work of Communities in Schools first hand, administrators who see the impact in graduation rates, to social workers who see the impact in the overall use of substances. We aimed to show the impact Communities in Schools has from every angle, to emphasize the enormous impact they have on the lives of our students.
Results
On giving Tuesday (the first day of using the video), Communities in Schools launched their video, and raised over $1,400.
They plan to continue to use this video as a center piece of their overall marketing strategy in the months and years to come.
